U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation Sponsorship

As of February 27th, we have met our goal of $2,500

in pledges! Congratulations, and Bravo Zulu.


Attention:  USS Washtenaw County Veterans Association:


A Commemorative Plaque is a wonderful way to honor the

men and women of the United States Sea Services -

past, present and future.  The plaque was suggested by

Mel Vineyard at the 2007 reunion.
 

The process of sponsoring a new plaque starts when the

association sends the initial $500 deposit, which

secures a spot on the wall and the services of the

graphic designer, who will work with the sponsors to

design the plaque.  A total donation of $3,000 is required.


Each sponsor is also entitled to a dedication ceremony

in their theater.  During the ceremony, a member of the

Memorial's leadership team will give a speech honoring

the sponsors of the plaque, in addition to any other

speakers from the sponsoring group.  Often, Plaque

Dedications are done in conjunction with a scheduled

reunion in the greater Washington D.C. area.
 

Once the process is complete, exact replicas of the

plaque are available and can be ordered.

The LST1166 Association has promised to contribute

the first $500.00 towards the deposit, providing the

membership, along with family and friends, pledge

the required balance of $2,500.00.  All donations are

tax deductible.  Unless otherwise instructed, all

donation denominations will be considered private.

Washtenaw County Veterans Association and will be collected by

the treasurer, Jim Hopkins at the 2008 reunion or via mail.
